Avery Neal, LISW (they/them/theirs)
Specialities: Trauma/PTSD, LGBTQ+ Affirming
Services: Individual therapy for adults offered in person in Cincinnati and via telehealth across Ohio. I focus on supporting LGBTQ+ individuals, neurodivergent adults, trauma survivors, and those navigating identity-based harm, chronic invalidation, people pleasing, and boundary formation. I support adults who have survived through people pleasing and chronic self-silencing while holding an offbeat, questioning, or boundary-pushing inner world. Many of the rebels, renegades, outliers, and offbeat individuals I work with were shaped by systems that demanded compliance without care and by a compassion that made them unwilling to keep folding themselves into versions that only felt safer. My approach is neurodivergent-affirming, LGBTQIA+ affirming, trauma-informed, anti-oppressive, and rooted in liberation-focused care. Though eclectic, I often integrate EMDR and psychodynamic approaches and bring lived experience as a neurodivergent person.
